The Sub Techs plugin is a specialised plugin giving you the ability to transform normal helpdesk users into sub-techs, allowing them to perform basic tech functions.

This plugin is of most use to companies with resellers, where your end users may also be supporting other end users.

  • Transform normal helpdesk users into sub-techs to allow them to perfrom basic tech functions.
  • Sub-techs can be assigned tickets to handle. These tickets are normally hidden from real techs unless the user decides to escalate the ticket.
  • Sub-techs gain access to a new part of the user interface. This means it is controlled by the same template and language systems.
  • Sub-techs are notified by email whenever a ticket is assigned or updated. If the user gateway is enabled, they can reply to these notifications to reply to the ticket.
  • The plugin is meant to be integrated with existing systems. We provide a hook for your custom PHP code so you can automatically create these sub-tech users, and automatically assign tickets to them.
  • You can also create sub-techs and assign tickets to them manually.
